:: THE VISION
maaa was initiated by people with heart and interest in HIV/AIDS awareness.
Our aim is to find new ways for a global aids-free future. The maaa platform
is the market square in the global village:
Open to all people of all cultures, all ages and all places.
Using the arts -- letters, paintings, drawings, cartoons, song and story --
in every form as the means to bring information to everyone.
The arts express our individual and cultural experiences.
The arts transcend every language and speak to everyone.
The arts cross space and time effortlessly.

In many parts of the world the discussion of HIV/AIDS, sexuality and death
is taboo.
Shame, guilt, fear, lack of knowledge deny us the information and clarification
we need to live fulfilled, safer, longer lives.
Prevention and awareness campaigns have led to more conscious sexual behavior
in some countries among some people.
BUT the increase in speed in the spread of HIV/AIDS means ALL people everywhere
MUST NOW have up-to-date, accurate information, free of cultural and political
restrictions and independent of the inhibitions of traditions and personal
beliefs.
