Dr. Moses Mwemi, President of Watu Wa Watu, welcoming everybody in the morning 8th Feb. 06

Generally, the objective was to come together and share our knowledge, experience, viewpoints, worldviews, concerns and efforts in order to raise local, national and global HIV/AIDS awareness more effectively and disseminate it back into our communities, especially among the youth, and thus

SAVE EVER MORE LIVES !

The conference took a participatory, inter-active and economically basic approach (grass roots) aiming at protecting local and international resources. (inexpensive basic accommodation and local food)

Contributions in form of lectures and artistic performances with personal experiences and insights from Uganda, Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania and Germany were shared among us and explored the bio-medical, epidemiological, socio-cultural and spiritual dimensions of HIV/AIDS.

A golden TREASURE box, a green MASWALI (question) box were filled with thoughts and questions as entry point for dialogue and discussions, inspirations and enligthenment. A CONDOM box was emptied completely during the event serving the protective needs of some of us!
